AsiaMiles overcharge on award change?
Hello, I'm new in this forum (usually on AA and UA) and I apologize if this has been addressed--I couldn't find this specific question answered anywhere.
I've just booked my first AsiaMiles award and I don't have status on CX. After battling the terrible wait times I followed the helpful advice here and called in the middle of the night HK time and got an agent after 5 mins. The problem is I was charged 120 USD instead of 25 USD for the change--is this correct or an error based on the details below?
The change was from an indirect CX+BA codeshare flight going from HKG-ZRH-LHR
to a direct CX flight from HKG-LGW. The new flight was on the same date departing at almost the same time.
According the to T+Cs: Airline Award Ticket Re-booking
Applicable only to change of confirmed flight date or flight number for tickets issued on or after 8 October 2013, with the same itinerary, same airline, and same ticket expiry date. Charge per flight sector per passenger.
That seems to satisfy the conditions above, unless LGW is considered a different destination or the CX/BA original ticket is treated as not being the 'same airline' despite the codeshare
Please let me know if this is worth disputing with CX or my CC company or if the fee is correct
thanks
