CW/CE is the new economy. Expectations need to be recalibrated.
Like most on here I fly a lot of BA sectors so feel that I am able to speak with some authority on service standards, even if, ultimately, it is quite subjective. BA is a strange phenomenon. Whilst I do believe that service levels have deteriorated overall, I find that just as I am about to really lose faith, for example after 2 or 3 successive sub-par experiences, I then experience 2-3 excellent flights, and my faith is restored. And so on. But the inconsistency is frustrating.
