In PY a few days ago on a 788, the seat in front of me wouldn't go upright. It was stuck way back. I was in an aisle seat.

They took this pretty seriously. I was removed to an empty seat in Y for the last few moments of the flight. I suppose the main risk to me was getting injured during an incident on landing itself.

But I wondered about the other people in my row. They would have been impeded had they needed to evacuate that way.
