Lovely place. The rim is beautiful, the middle a bit less so. Avoid Newport. Cowes is the 'home of world yachting' where I spend a lot of time each summer. Seaview is nice, as is Ryde, Yarmouth, etc. Go to St Catherine's Point (or the Needles) for lovely views. Priory Bay is a nice place to stay.
