I am trying to understand how tier works, piggy back a similar question

Currently my status page shows:

My Tier Points: 580:Bronze
Tier Point collection year ends: 08 Aug 2016
Card expiry date: 30 Sep 2017

If understand correctly, I can become a silver if collect additional 20 Tier Points by 08 Aug 2016 (possibly 22 Aug 2016 for 2 weeks grace period) till 30 Sept 2017?

20 Tier Points seems possible for ~one month time remaining.
