Still a noob, trying to make the most of my Platinum Elite status and retain it for next year. I had to pay $1199 for the boost this year to retain.
Planning to trip to YYZ to visit wifey's grandparents next month 8/4-8/7. The only nonstop I saw after wifey finishes work on 8/4 was at 11:25p arriving YYZ at 6:45am. On the return, it would depart at 9:50am nonstop back to LAS.
The question I have is that on AA this far is roughly $1k fare class G, versus on WS it's about $800. I'm not sure if I will earn Elite miles etc if I fly WS instead of AA, or if WS will honor my Platinum status or if I'll be able to choose my seats ahead of time since it's operated by WS.
