Was there any change over the last days? Today I was told the second time by a platinum concierge in Cork that I won't get stay an night credit for my two night moments stay...
I also found this in T&C:
•Hotel stays included within SPG Moments offers earn status towards elite if the redeeming/winning member consumes the stay but do not earn Starpoints and do not count as either stays or nights toward promotional requirements
Seems to be the same as William posted some years again...

As for receiving elite member benefits, properties are encouraged (but apparently not forced) to extend all elite member benefits to keep in line with the SPG program itself.
