Yep. I then figured this is ridiculous so I started burning RPU's for normal length domestic flights. Never a one cleared. Then I started using GPU's with only sightly better upgrade shot.

If you want to redeem your RPU's and GPU's they aren't applicable to the lowest class fare, only R (pricey and rarely available).

Yeah, that is another thing. Upgrade rates for EXPs are MUCH better than for 1Ks. Especially for close in bookings.
