Looking at Dubai. In December in CW and First. Are those sale prices actually cheaper than the normal fare?
As I do DXB a lot .....
Dirt cheapest J ex-UK would be £999, have seen this on Lufty ex UK in the past.
In the £1100-£1300 ball park you get BA, Qatar, Etihad in a sale, but not Emirates in my experience.
No need to pay more than £1300 unless you need to lock in specific dates over Christmas and New Year.
The BA £1695 F deal in the sale is outstanding (to Abu Dhabi) if you get the 787 with the mini-F cabin.
Remember there is also a cheap Avios option, booking airberlin from Berlin to Abu Dhabi. Minimal taxes of £49 and, as under 2000 miles, 75k Avios return in J. This includes the Etihad chauffeur service at both ends. Doesnt work out of DUS as over 2000 miles, does work out of Stuttgart and Vienna (if the route is still going) but short haul aircraft.
