Now that BA has trumped EK with the A380/Boston announcement, will they hurry up and announce themselves? EK likes the 'first mover' advantage, which they will apparently cede to BA starting in early February.

There will be three A380-capable gates at Boston's Terminal E. Not sure if they will all be ready simultaneously or sequentially. The BOS BA service seems for familiarization purposes rather than any sort of expected spike in demand. The two-month trial allows BA and Massport to figure out how to process these planes and the people on them. The real test might be if EK comes in this winter, too, allowing for a peek into how Summer '17 might look once both airlines rotate the A380 through Logan. Understanding how one A380 gets processed represents good data; seeing two at the same time is what everyone wants to see.
