Rebooking for missed partner award flight (pax fault)
Hello,
Haven't been active on FT for a while, just wanted to get people's reactions to whether my experience was consistent with what others have received from UA.
On a UA award ticket, AC operated flight out of YUL. Missed the flight (showed up to the int'l terminal at YUL instead of the US terminal. oops.)
Called UA Platinum line, was told I could be re-booked on UA metal connecting through EWR next morning for an extra 12,500 miles or $1,600 one way. I don't have 12,500 miles in my account, so the $1,600 was the only option.
No fault of UA that I missed my flight, but I would still expect a courtesy re-book per flat tire rule in this situation. What have others experienced?
