There's plenty of overhead space in D1. However...

... this reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask.
On the TCONs, the 75S has a sign in front of each(?) seat saying "No stowage on ottoman or shelf during taxi, takeoff, turbulence and landing."
1. Has anyone ever seen this enforced? It seems people routinely store the pillows/comforters, small bags, shoes, etc. in that location.
2. I could be hallucinating this but I swear my last trip in 1A on a 767 D1 TCON didn't have a similar sign. Not sure if I'm fabricating this memory, or the sign was missing, or maybe 1A/D (or all the window seats?) on the 767 are exempt because no one has to potentially cross over your space to get aisle access, or because 1A/D has a deeper footwell or something.
