There are two Hilton properties in Romania. The Hilton is smoke-free but the Doubletree by Hilton has 11 smoking rooms (all on one floor) and a number of other rooms that have balconies where smoking is allowed. As there are a total of 66 rooms in the hotel, the odds on being able to get one where you can smoke are pretty good.

I will be spending 8 nights there this month and spoke to reservations about this. They said they are basically a business hotel and July is off-season for business travelers so while they cannot guarantee anything, my chances are excellent and, as an HHonors gold, I may well be given an upgraded smoking room.
