MT- that 2 kilos in your post above is a typo, right? The limit is 5 kilos, a little over 11 pounds. I have seen AF pax with "small" dogs well in the 10-15 lb range bringing them on board flights with no problem. I agree with CELBRIAN that you probably wouldn't have a problem if the dog fits in the standard carry on.
