The most irritating part is that I had booked the great routing on AA using an Alaska Airlines award so it was only 20k miles vs 30k on AA. Alaska doesn't allow multiple partners on awards so, barring that miracle, I'll have to rebook through another program.

I have an alternate routing but it means 2 connections and probably an extra hotel night in addition to the extra miles because it's not available thru Alaska. Oh well...
