I understand that the crew were probably well into the day and most likely not as bright eyed and bushy tailed as they could be. When the member of crew served me a miniature of vodka it was unopened. Unfortunately I couldn't open it, so asked the crew member to please open it for me. The response was 'do you want me to drink it for you too?' (This is word for word).
I am pleased to say that it couldn't be opened by anyone and a new one was provided.
First of all I am still a little annoyed with the sarcastic response, plus I thought it was SOP to open all drinks before serving.
I almost did say to the crew member involved that I was offended by their remark but decided to let it slide as I didn't want to dampen my mood of 'nice weekend away'.
What is correct ? Opened or unopened - am I just being sensitive thinking the sarcastic response was inappropriate?
Maybe the crew member was just trying to be funny?
