No IFE on 12-hour flight - compensation?
I recently flew from Hong Kong to London Heathrow on BA32, in World Traveller. Six seats, including mine, had no inflight entertainment for the entire flight due to a technical problem, and as the flight was full it was not possible to move to another seat.
The crew were very apologetic and proactive, making a note of the problem on their iPads and assuring me that BA would offer some sort of compensation.
I have now received an insincere copy-and-paste apology from BA and the offer of 3,000 Avios for the inconvenience. This seems more than a little mean to me (I was recently given 6,000 Avios for an unsatisfactory meal in Club Europe), but is it worth pursuing BA for a better offer or should I just forget it and move on?
