As far as the other passengers are concerned, I agree with most of the comments here which is that it my family's right to have equal access to each and every seat on the plane, whether it be Y or J or F. If passengers get upset because they paid good money for being in J or F, well, we also paid good money and not just for one traveler, but rather two or more. If the sounds of an infant crying through no fault of their own (such has ear pain from pressure changes) is bothersome, that's why there are soundcanceling headphones. And those people seem to forget that at one point in their lives they used to be babies/infants/toddlers and I doubt very much that they were never at one point being bothersome towards others whether it be on a plane, car, boat, irrespective of what seat they occupied.

You want to avoid kids on your journey? Then charter a private jet.
