SWISS could in fact take part in Pre Check for US citizen travelers. Evidently the problem is stupid European "privacy" obsessions that block the data sharing needed for Pre Check. But for US travelers that should not apply.

Just to voice an opinion: I would value this change a lot. I get Pre Check for all my US domestic flights and resent standing in security lines when I see people going through on Pre Check because they are flying internationally on a US carrier.

Please SWISS, do a favor for your US passengers. It costs nothing.
