While that's true, there are an awful lot of passwords we need to have that really don't need to be encrypted. I don't really care if someone has access to the login for my frequent-shopper account at the grocery store or for the app that lets me make online restaurant reservations, etc. Even things like my hotel rewards memberships or my online magazine subscription really don't need special secure passwords, IMO.
