I was in a bit of a quandary about the most appropriate forum for this but I will try here first.
I was curious if the airline employees check of your passport and visa docs on outbound international flights is merely something for the carrier's PNR, or does it go to a Homeland Security database.
I think logic would dictate that the government can see these records, lest there be an incomplete picture of who comes and goes fom the US.
