FWIW they've always been very accommodating, professional and efficient in my dealings with them.
How is it any better than just buying it straight from an airline?
It seems they did not help OP get the last leg of the flight, did not give helpful info regarding claims (that is why OP is asking here).
I guess I prefer just doing it myself, and see this case as an example that a TA is just pointless
