For redemption bookings on BA.com you always pay in the currency of the country where your BA account is registered.

It doesn't matter whether you use the "UK site" or "US site", as you have to log in to redeem.

Presumably, your account is a US account so you will always pay for redemptions in USD. This includes LHR-USA redemptions.

But I am still curious about if Nd when they adjust the price in dollars to reflect the current exchange rate.
Basically what you are doing is buying the extra avios you need at the time you are booking.

The price of avios offered in this way is preset by BA in each currency. It may or may not be adjusted to reflect the new reality of exchange rates at some point, but it is certainly not a dynamic process, and so unless a BA insider volunteers some information then all you can do is keep checking, or change the country of your account to the UK (I'm not sure if this is advisable if you don't have access to a UK address) so you can pay with a USD card in GBP.

This should be an option since I a m travelling from the UK, but even when I change the country to GB it still shows me the prices in C$. If I call will they give me the price in pounds?
Thank you.
When redeeming online you will always pay the taxes and fees in CAD as your account is registered in Canada. Not sure about calling but the phone service fee would probably outweigh the savings.
