Greetings All,

It has been some time since I have been on FlyerTalk as my work does not have me traveling much these days. I do however still have a decent number of frequent flyer miles.

My spouse and I are going to sail out on a Cruise from Barcelona on October 23, there are some AA seats that will get me in a few days earlier at a decent rate, one even gives me a layover in London that should be enough to leave the airport for 4 - 5 hours to explore, but I am wondering if perhaps there is something better to be had with a partner.

Given how long I have been out of the game so to say, I wanted to come and speak with the experts and see what the best way to search out the award seats on other affiliated one world carriers, if one is recommended over another, and if there were any other general suggestions to help make this a good trip.
