I went through the above posts and I have to admit that reading this is depressing. I now ask myself what can BA invent further to make the BA experience for its customers even more miserable? What is next? Elimination of check through also for bookings on one PNR?
If BA wanted to make extra money they could have imposed an optional fee for checking through baggage in cases of more than one PNR. Now the option to pay for it does not even exists.
I am also surprised that no exeption has been made for Gold/GGL EC members and people flying F.
This new policy will certainly be an important element in deciding to fly BA with checked baggage if more than one PNR is not avoidable.
