Spirit really seems to have fallen asleep at the wheel. The off peak date calendar for 2017 for using miles on their website has still not been updated as of July 5th and yet they still are advertising this as a perk of the Spirit credit card. When you do try and book an off peak fare in January for ATL to FLL as an example you are quoted 15,000 miles one way rather than the expected 2,500. Probably the only folks who can put pressure on Spirit to get on track are those at Bank of America who administers the credit card. Suggest we start calling them to complain as we know Spirit itself will be futile given their woeful customer service. Or alternatively cancel the card on your anniversary renewal date.
