I've been lurking for a while but this is my first post

I've booked my parents into Club Europe to Larnaca this summer, and was just wondering if the centre tray/table between the seats can be removed?

I called BA customer services and was told it could not be removed, but he didn't seem too confident about it, and after some searching I've read posts where people have said it can be removed, so was just after some confirmation either way.

It's no big deal if it can't, but it's a bit of a squeeze for my dad with the armrests down, so wanted to check.
