Travelling with CAN$10,000 or more (entering Canada)

This seems confusing to me on form E311 - Declaration card (entering Canada):
"Each traveler is responsible for reporting currency and/or monetary instruments totaling CAN$10,000 or more that are in his or her actual possession or baggage"
The form is for up to 4 family members.
Then on the check list it reads :"I am/we are bringing into Canada: Currency and/or monetary instruments totaling CAN$10,000 or more. yes/no".

Is this $10k for each listed family member or for all the members together?

To be more clear, hypothetically, if you travel with some other family member on the same flight (or the same car) and the combined value is greater then $10,001 (but if you split it in two none carries more than $10K) do you check the "yes" box or not?

Thank you.
