Yes, I did. They confirmed that the ticket had been cancelled but I can't request a refund yet "because the computer hasn't caught up." Very polite and helpful, but recommended that I try again tomorrow
after the 24 hour window has elapsed.
Needless to say I am a bit worried about this but will feel better if some FTers say: "Yeah, the system is screwed up, but eventually you will be able to file for your refund and things will be ok."
BTW, the fine print says it will take "1 to 2 billing cycles for the refund to be credited to my cc account." Ouch! I pay off in full each month so this is going to tie up my money for 60 days???
As a million miler (I know, short hitter among the FT crowd) I have been disappointed by service from several airlines but I have never had an experience as bad as this one. Am I just "lucky"??
