Wouldn't you get back more if your credit card runs on £ but you paid in €?
Say it was 1500€, at the time of booking that equalled 1100£ (more or less)
Now, 1500€ equalls 1300£, so you would gain 200£ since the refund would be bigger.
If it would have been the other way around (your card runs in €, payment in £) it would indeed be bad for you. But in such cases (when airlines cancel a "error fare", at least) my credit card company made sure I got the exact same amount I've originally paid back.
