Joint booking for two passengers: Aggregating points
Hi all,
Firstly, I apologise in advance if the answer to this is readily available. I have tried to find out on the Krisflyer help and in this forum using the search but did not find the specific response to my question. And I suspect you knowledgable folk will be able to answer it through your own experiences.
My partner and I both have Krisflyer accounts and I fully understand you cannot transfer between accounts or "pool" to one account.
However, if we are both travelling together, as we always do when we travel, is it possible to aggregate the points on the account for one booking?
I always tend to have the majority of miles, as points/credit cards are in my name, but my partner will have a few. Together it will make it easier for us to redeem, otherwise he will often lose his miles, given they are not accrued from flights and not other sources.
So, if we are travelling together, are we able to select to use points from both of our accounts, or does it always need to come from the one account (I know it does for Emirates...).
I suppose a second component to that question, if we are travelling four legs (say SYD - SIN - LHR and return), and he has enough for one of the legs, can we use his points for that one leg for him, and my points for the remaining three?
Thanks in advance for any insights...!
