While it's an unfortunate inconvenience it doesn't seem to be Air Canada's fault. The women was also denied at NH counter which means it's standard policy for them.

I get it's a bit suspicious with fraud prone countries. I'm sure they have an algorithm that automatically flags suspicious purchases like they do with any credit card purchase. It seems more so to be a matter of inconvenience because of the international travel making it difficult for contacting the appropriate department. (this guy probably should have given a tweet on social media - the way the internet works today, he probably would have gotten a faster customer service than the phone line lol)

He should indeed get more compensation however. While it's not Air Canada fault I can still sympathize with the inconvenience, frustration, concern, and time lost that the individual experienced. I can't imagine the concern and angst because of a credit card fraud concern for a legitimate purchase.

Unfortunately this is an example of criminal activity and crooks making life difficult for honest citizens as is the standard. (We all experience it to a degree. TSA line ups being more tedious and so forth. Though this guy took quite the inconvenience).
