Breakfast was full buffet everyday complete with eggs cooked to order and pour your own proseco. This hotels service never has disappointed me in all of my stays. That includes me and my wife only, her and I plus kiddo, and an amazing three room stay w both sets of our parents. Always had an upgrade and always great service. Such a stark contrast to the Marriott right up the street. We had a nightmare stay there on the same trip after deciding to give them another try after our prior nightmare stay years ago. I hope to any deity above that this hotel doesn't follow the lead of its sister up the street once the merger is complete. Seeing the European starwoods fo the way of marriotts will be a huge disappointment. Perhaps the euro marriotts can learn a thing or hundred from the starwoods.

Enjoy your stay!
Thanks for this update dingo. I just booked our stay a few minutes ago, and now I am VERY excited after reading the recent comments. We will be there 8 nights, 6 on points, and two paid. The room rate is quite high for the two paid nights (about 650 Euros so about 900 CAD) and significantly more than I would normally pay, but it IS our 25th anniversary so I think a splurge is in order! It is a refundable rate, so I'll watch to see if we can get a better rate closer to check-in or if there is a deal I can take advantage of. I actually was thinking about using Marriott points at the Marriott down the street for the two paid nights but decided against it because moving hotels mid-stay is a pain. After reading your comment about the Marriott though, I'm glad I made that decision!
