My husband isn't into this hobby at all, but he has learned how to make the recon calls, etc. in order to help "my" hobby. And he (and our three kids) are grateful that they get to travel the world. I think MS and points has basically served as a mid life crisis outlet for me. It's a fun and productive game or puzzle that takes skill, research, strategy, and patience. I LOVE spending time figuring it all out and, of course, taking free trips. Even on top of a full time career.
