Not aware of ever having received a "special offer" related to the united.com club or travel bank over the past 5+ years. I'm sure joining has added my name to more mailing lists, leading to more "offers" but none that mentioned "united.com club." And none that offered lower / discounted air fares.

Still a decent deal as long as you are not paying more to book UA or to use UA.com for purchases. I cross check from time to time to make sure -- seems OK in my cases, others have reported some differences. Never has been the reason I use UA.com but when all else equal, I will take the benefit.
