But they can never "verify" it is you. Even in person a signature basically does nothing. People seem to have a hard time distinguishing foreign faces (eg Asians all look same).
What you mean is it someone bought the ticket to use personally their argument "it wasn't me" will not hold up very well (wonder how it would work for someone who has the same name)
