Well that's certainly a very interesting way of doing it, I hadn't thought of that approach (book the fare bucket fare you want, then rebook back to the flight you want, avoiding the lower fare buckets). Pity it can't be done on Basic (HBO) N fares without paying a fee, that would be useful for onward UuA.
