Now that I am back, am I entitled to any compensation for:
1. lost luggage, the fact I couldn't get it in Heathrow pretty much made it impossible due to having only a t-shirt on and not wanting to travel as London is colder than NYC.
Did you not have the bag checked through to TLV? (I think that's where BA163 and BA165 go.) Your original relatively short connection time suggests that a through-check would have been sensible.
If you did, was the problem that you then wanted it retrieved but that couldn't be done?
Where and whom did you ask?
And if you were spending the extra time in the lounge, what was "impossible" and why did it matter, if you weren't planning to get the bag back during the LHR transit anyway?
