Some years back flying SFO/MIA a redeye on a 757 I requested seat 1F for sleeping purposes (no one climbing over me albeit sleeping in a 757 domestic seat isn't the greatest). A FA wanted me to trade for the nice "aisle" seat in row 5 for a FA's mother as I had no seat mate. I declined and got lots of attitude from the crew. My attitude was tough s@@t. If getting Mom the seat of her choice was so important buy a revenue tix.
