The information the OP provided didn't seem to many of us to add up but that's irrelevant really. We can make assumptions about what "really" was going on, the order it was booked and actually happened and the motivation either primary or as a secondary result. Maybe it was "this" maybe "that" but regardless of the obtuse and somewhat contradictory information a new member wanted advise and was hoping for a better outcome regarding reinstating her original flights...which clearly wasn't going to happen. Maybe it was planned EX DUB ticket gone bad quite innocently - maybe not but the real beneficial aspect of this forum to me has and always will be "information" non judgemental information that provides advice on a multitude of issues. As CWS said and several others stated, they actually took time for someone who may not even be anything like the person "she" says she is but asked for help - and they gave them options. Did research found flights .... If we take this on face value they were the ones who offered assistance and I hope if I ever do and either don't know where to start or what to do they continue to behave in a manner that was/is generous non judgmental and helpful. It's easy to say what an idiot you were just trying to get away with a cheap EX DUB trip and it's gone wrong so stop making the other rubbish up and suck it up - lesson learned.... But they didn't. They just tried to help the apparent problem - getting to LA (and maybe back cheap as possible) comments about her job, boss, use Skype are irrelevant to the please help me get to LA cheap. Expecting more information that makes better sense to us is also not relevant. If you don't want to help - don't. Lecturing her is not this forums function.
All we have is the information given even if it doesn't add up
I'm glad this forum has many many very helping people.
I've asked for help and been given tons of it. The others "entitlement" to more abut anyones reasons for asking aren't relevant either. If you feel duped or lied to or abused as a volunteer - don't help. We all unltimately control our own time and how we use it.
I love this forum its been invaluable
