This issue isn't limited to C&P, it also applies to BRGs when a foreign rate on a competing site is converted to the hotel's currency on the date the claim is approved. I have a bunch of BRGs in Japan that were approved when the Euro stood at JPY135; I now end up paying 15% more than I would if I had locked in the rate in Euros. Just like my JPY17,785.00 C&P reservations at GHT will now actually cost me $175++ instead of $150++. Somebody above said "win some, lose some" -- that's exactly the way to look at this; there are plenty of times when currency swings work out in your favor.
