Also check Delta and first class fares. I've found some to be reasonable and I am willing to pay more for more miles and comfort, even though it's a MR, if it means one mileage run instead of two. I hate wasting time for no reason and I've spent a few hundred dollars on occasion for a first class fare to help me get over the hump in less time. I'd rather pay $500 for one trip than $400 for two. I realize that's not always the same mileage amount but sometimes I'm surprised at how reasonable a first class ticket is.
