Review: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London Heathrow Airport

Introduction We had an overnight stay before an early morning flight out of Heathrow Terminal 5. Check In Check-in was friendly and quick. Our key cards had been prepared in advance. We booked a twin guest room and did not receive an upgrade (as there is only one category of twin rooms). We were given the signature DoubleTree cookies. Room The bathroom:Wifi speed was good. There were 2 bottles of water, but no welcome letter/gift.The room was clean and comfortable. As mario33 mentioned previously in the hotel’s master thread, the windows are triple glazed, so it wasn’t noisy and we slept well. Breakfast As a Diamond member, breakfast was complimentary. As mario33 has mentioned, the quality of food is acceptable, but unremarkable. There were both cooked and continental food options. The buffet breakfast runs from 6 to 10am (weekdays) and 7 to 11am (weekends) in the Brasserie Restaurant on the ground floor. Location We booked a minicab through the hotel front desk (GBP 18 to Heathrow Terminal 5). The journey took around 10-15 minutes. Overall Overall, this is a decent hotel for an overnight stay near Heathrow Airport. We chose this hotel as it was more competitively priced than the Hilton Garden Inn and the 2 Hiltons near Heathrow. We were satisfied with the service, room and food, and would be happy to return here in the future.
