I can understand the E-911 feature. There have been instances where people were involved in accidents and injured were unable to tell the 911 operator where they were. Of course we can argue that it can be used to track us, well, it can be traced whenever you use it with a court order, so what is the point of that argument? There are cameras along every interstate, on more and more stoplights, and on some city streets. Soon there will be small hovercraft with cameras flying everywhere watching us I guess.

My point is that every technology at one time or another has been accused of having the potential of being used to violate our "rights." Although where we are gauranteed a right of privacy is a mystery to me.
