They were considering transferring Citi points as per the OP. I was showing that there are standard (8k QF points) award seats available.
Whether it is a good use of points is another matter, and would depend on the cash fares and value OP places on Citi points.

I had been thinking of transferring 1:1 Citi Prestige points to Qantas to cover round trip fare for 4 of us, but it's not worth spending 115,000 points for a $700 flight.
