Ok thanks. That's what I was thinking since many airlines do that before you board, but I have never seen that message at check-in unless they need to verify something before issuing a boarding pass.
I have had mine verified at the gate desk and in the lounge when connecting. I assume that TSA won't care but the gate staff make announcements telling people to check with them if they haven't checked in at the desk.
