I'll just add that on the standard Platinum AmEx, additional cards do get access. My ex still has a card on my account (which costs $250 or something like that); but I also have one additional card (which costs $0) for my GF, and that card DOES get her access to SC.
If you have a USA based unaffiliated regular AmEx Plat charge card, the annual fee for one card is in the $450-500 range, the same as the DL Reserve credit card (although the benefits are different). IIRC the annual fee for up to three additional Plat cards on the regular Plat account is $175, but lower tier additional charge cards might be free.
