I applied for a Chase United Club Card back on 6/6. Didn't get approved till 6/21. Club Card showed up under my subscriptions and in iPhone app the next day. Received card in the mail a few days ago. Used it to purchase a flight last night.

But Reservation is showing baggage charges instead of first 2 bags free.

I also see the $75 close in fee if I try to book a reward flight for next week.

How long does it take for those benefits to start working?

I called United today, and believe I got someone in India they said just show my card at checkin to get my free bags. I don't really feel confident with that answer and am thinking about cancelling my reservation before the 24 hours are up, and trying again in a few days so I don't have to deal with any issues come check-in.
