For most they monitor the ATC and will send the money your way when the event occurs without you having to call and start a claim (and wait for the money).
And for that $50 you only had to pay $60.
It's a matter of what you wish to insure. Is it worth a premium to insure against a 3 hour delay? You should insure only those risks for which you can not tolerate the risk yourself. Remember, all insurance is a bet against yourself with a huge house advantage.
