You know that Amex is going down when they can't even get their flagship card out on time.
I would push hard for a partial AF waiver, or some bonus points. Then again, you're likely to hit a brick wall now that Amex's CS is basically trash.
I'll attempt to get something out of it. I was planning on using the new card for a large purchase, but it seems that will no longer be possible due to the excessive delay.
